We are no longer required to shut the services down for hardware maintenance, the concept of unscheduled downtime because of hardware failure is gone, scaling up the resources is done in seconds instead of hours and the data consistency no longer relies on the build quality of an individual hard drive.
To meet our user’s expectations we came up with a complex highly available and highly scalable infrastructure that is the foundation of our world class cloud computing solution.
As with other areas of our infrastructure we opted for proven solutions by using high end servers by Supermicro and Dell alongside resilient storage solutions.
Before launch, we’ve performed an extended set of tests to determine whether the final product will be up to par with our most demanding users requirements.
After successfully concluding our battery of tests we’ve launched the platform that wants to provide a better alternative to the traditional VPS management solutions.
Our cloud computing solution has all the feature set of the traditional one, plus:
* Capacity to run VPS’s wih up to 64GB RAM
* The data is stored on high performance SSD storage arrays
* The uptime gets even higher because we ruled out the hardware maintenance windows
* Automatic failover, it’s enabled in case of an unexpected physical server failure. This will migrate the affected machines within seconds on another standing by node and boot them up there.
